Hi Patricia, I managed to find this Thomas Hall death in the Vic BDMs,don't know how I missed it before, his parents are given as George Hall and Mary Owens but the age does not agree with the 1836 birthdate you gave. It is possible that the person transcribing the record for the Index has made a mistake or misread the age given, this is not unusual, I have come across this problem several times myself. This is the only entry in the whole index with the parents as Hall/Owens. I hope this will be of some help.
