You are quite correct. I have pretty much the same. I don't have an Alfred anywhere. I suspect if Charles John had family it was daughters. I was once met his second(?) cousin, Alwyn Austen (grandson of Sir Frank Austen), who died a couple of years ago. He told me that his line was the only continuing Austen descendant of Jane's family.
