I am searching for information about several Achison families found on Jackson CO. MO census, 1860, 1870. There is a Ashford, Wiley, Sylvester, James and John. All born in Tennesssee. Wiley, Sylvester and Ashford have a Milley that would seem to be their mother listed on the census with them in differing years. James and John live nearby on some of the census. By 1880, Wiley, John and Ashford are in Johnson Co. AR. In 1887, 2 of John's children (James A. and Emma) married in Taney Co. MO. Wiley and Ashford appear later in Carroll Co. AR marriage records and Ashford is on the 1900 census in Carroll Co. Ashford died in Carroll Co. AR Jan 7, 1910. There is a younger John Atchison b. 1850 that married Delaney Youngblood and died in Carroll Co. AR in 1916. I can not figure out where he fits in. I can find nothing on Sylvester Atchison after 1870. I am actually looking for Andy Atchison that married Nora Jackson and I believe him to be the James A. Atchison, son of John and brother to Emma on the 1870 Jackson Co. MO census and 1880 Johnson Co.AR census. Emma married John A. Blandon 1887 Taney Co. MO, but I can find not later record of this couple. I would like to hear from anyone researching any of these Atchison names. Fleta Aday
