Hiya Sarah, now I am fully awake I have realised how important your email is. I have not been able to trace any of the brothers and sisters of Ethel, this was my husbands grandmother. Who was your grandfather Henry, William, Thomas, Fred or George (not much to chose from is there!)
All the below has been given to me by Doris, now decreased, one of Ethel's daughters.

Pottered history of what I know:

Minnie Denyer-Radford married Henry is approx 1873. Henry's mother and grandparents were quakers and he was one of triples, tow died at birth and Henry was finally killed, we think, at the Somme in 1916. There were nine children.

Henry, Minnie, William, Ethel, Thomas, Eva, Fred, George and Lillian. Because they were written down in that order by doris in a letter to me I presume, possibly incorrectly, that they are in age order with Henry being the eldest and Lillian being the baby. Ethel eventually married Albert Monk and had 4 children Doris, Jean, John and Margaret. John was my husbands father. He died several years ago at a very early age. 51.

For background info Minnie's maiden name was Ashdown. Her parents Thomas and Bella, nee Vinnie, I think were married in 1836? and Thomas was an Elector-Plater and Gilder. He owned his own business in London, Great Titchfield St and had the royal Coat of Arms over his door as he cleaned the royal jewellery. They had 16 children, the first 8 died in infancy and the final eight lived to adulthood, they were

Thomas, Rose, Poppy, Harry, Eliza, Minnie, Jane and Amy. Again this is the order given to me in the letter from Doris so I will again presume that they are in age order.

I look forward to hearing from you very soon. For info my email address is paul.monk@ntlworld.com
