My thanks to Alex Dow and other Scottish off-list providers of assistance in answer to this query. The drowned MR ARNOTT from the 1838 "Forfarshire" disaster has now been identified as a JOHN ARNOTT,farmer of Craigie Park, Perth and also Pittachar Farm near Crieff, Perth. This JOHN ARNOTT married a MARGARET DICK 8Jan1808 Perth & Dunfermline but further confirmation re his Birthdate/place & parentage plus any children detail from the above marriage would now be appreciated.
