Hi Wes,

Long time no hear. I'm having trouble with my email today, so I thought I would post this here.

Recently I was going through some Land Records of Sussex Co., DE and discovered a connection to an Argo. My wife, nee Patricia Ann Layton, is a descendant of a man named Andrew Collins, Sr., (wife Mary) who was living as late as 1809 in Mispillion Hd., Kent Co., DE. I believe that he was formerly an inhabitant of Sussex Co., DE but have so far found no proof. I did find the following record which I believe is the same Andrew Collins, Sr. and I was wondering if you had found any information on this family or could shed some light on Rachel (Collins) Argo's ancestry. Also is their son Charles, the same Charles listed in the 1850 Census of Kent Co., DE?

Sussex Co., DE Deeds Vol. AE-28 pg. 12, dated 9 January 1809
Andrew Collins, Senior, of Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co., DE
to John Argo, of Sussex Co., DE, his son-in-law, for 5 shillings, three slaves now living with said Argo, one named Esther aged about 17, Peter aged about 10, and Steven aged about 6, said Argo to be beholden of them except Steven which I give unto my daughter Rachel's (wife of John Agro) eldest son Charles when he arrives to the age of 21.

Signed Andrew "X" Collins (Seal)
Witnesses: James Johnson, James Stayton
