My husbands great grandfather was Numa Festal, married to Mariana (Nunes). Their daughter Maria Delia Festal was my husbands grandmother, married to Charles Peel Davis.
We have a copy of Charles and Maria's wedding certificate in which it states that Numa her father was an architect, a French national and Mariana was an Oriental. They gave permission for their daughter to marry Charles because she was only 16 yrs old at the time (1894).
I found reference to Numa being a director of an English school in Belgrano, that he was born in Bordeaux, was an engineer and practices his profession in 1865 as a member of the Board of Public Works of the Municipality of the city of Buenos Aires.
I have no further information of my husbands great grandparents and would be delighted if you could help me.
I realize your posting for this information is six years old, but i hope you are still out there!
