Genealogy researching my 5th.-Great-Grandfather JAMES SHORT a Revolutionary War Veteran,he was born in Virginia on Oct. 7th.1756 and died on Dec. 12th. 1856,and is buried at the Short Cemetery on N. Bogus Rd. off of State Route 22 in Washington Court House,Union Twp. Fayette County,Ohio U.S.A.Looking for what unit he may have served in the Revolutionary War, and where he was born in Virginia.and who was his first wife,He may have been born in Federick County,Virginia,his oldest daughter ANNA (SHORT) ROGERS married her husband JAMES ROGERS on March 25th. 1800 in Federick County,Virginia.James Short moved west to Mercer County,Kentucky, then on North to settle and die in Union Twp.Fayette County,Ohio U.S.A.Would appreciate any genealogy information on the SHORT family.
