I am trying to find proof that the brothers of Nicholas Heinrich Crist, Jr. born 1740 served in the Revolutionary War.
It is my understanding that George Heinrich Crist, born in 1744, was commissioned as an Ensign for Yohogania County on May 26, 1778 by Governor Patrick Henry. On July 1, 1779, I believe John Jacob Crist, born in 1739, was commissioned as Captain in Nelson County.
This information I believe comes from a book by Boyd Crumrine. I found it through another forum on this site.
I am either descended from George Heinrich Crist, Sr. or Nicholas Heinrich Crist, Jr.
