Hello everyone, have been spending time visiting with Freida Altevogt, the only surviving next of kin of Louis Adolph and Elise (Stolte) Altevogt. Louis Adolph Altevogt was son of Ernst Henry Ludewig and Johanna Henrietta Catrina (Heidemann) Altevogt. After spending a weekend with Freida preparing a scrapbook which I will be giving to family, we have compiled a series of photos and records that are quite astonishing. Decided that since we now have photos of Freida's entire family, along with some very old 16x20's of Fred and Sophia (Detmar) Stolte, war photos regarding the European theatre's of Sonny and William Altevogt, Baptismal certificates dating to 1910 of William and Myrtle Altevogt and many court house records, obits, photos of headstones, decided this data needs to be published and shared with family. Freida also had a photo dated 09 June 1912 of the Witt Fishing and Hunting Club, with numerous Altevogt's in the photo, including three generations of my family. I am asking that anyone who wishes to write me a letter with your genealogy line, any photos you want to include and I will include these and there will be a great collection of information for future generations. My address right now is:

The pages of very old photos and records, headstones, certificates, etc number over 100 pages, thus far and I am still working with Freida to get some of her records restored, as they are falling apart due to age. I look forward to any correspondence. I will be giving one of these books to my family for Christmas, as we do Christmas Bingo.
Sincerely Barb (Hays) Clayton
P.S. Please date and sign your letters.
