Hi Joyce,
This is Carol, twin sister to Cynthia. I just posted another message to this thread and wanted to address your question too. Alas, we are Couch dna group 2. Our dad, through our oldest known relative William Couch b. 1790, was actually a dna match to the Cheek family, living across the Saluda River in Laurens SC. He may have still had a young Couch un-wed mother and we believe he was raised close to the Benjamin Couch family, as one of William's sons named Matthew was accidentally listed in the Benj and Delilah Couch estate settlement, then crossed through when the correct son of Benjamin named Stephen was added. Those two guys went to Arkansaw together in 1860. In addition, we see our William living into old age alongside the children from John Couch found in Gwinnett, then Murray co. GA. from 1840 until 1870. And we are OKIES too, as our dad was a country doctor in Cordell. My twin sister, Cynthia, will soon be moving from TX back to OKC, but I currently live in Germany. Boomer Sooner! - Carol
