I obtained from an auction, a very old leather bound album containing 24 pages-2 photos missing. It's in wonderful shape for it's age. Written on the inside cover is "Amanda Sanders Allcorn 1827-1911. Mrs. James Madison Allcorn brought from her home in St. Louis. At her death 1911, March 22". Just about all of the photos are identified. If this is the same James M. Allcorn that I've found information on-he married twice? Anyway, these may be the family members from her side. Surnames: MITCHELL-(Olider, Emma, Margaret, Rebecca Ann, James W or William James, Fannie Mitchell Alcorn, ROSE-Emma Mitchell Rose, Ollie, Lee, Mona, JONES-Florence, ORR-Bob and Ann, MILLARD-Zucleora Mitchell Millard, SHUMAKER-Lula, Mant, Tom, NORTHERN-Lottie, Grant, Curtis, Maggie, POE-John, ENLOW-Mrs. Ella Huston Enlow, CHANDLER-Alice, GRIFFETH-Joe, TAGGART-Samuel & Weber-Lewis. I rescue these photos in hopes of finding descendants who would love to have these treasures. And what treasures they are! I ask what I paid for them and postage. I can send photos of individuals if requested. |
