Dewaine, this is what I have on Armer John Alcorn. His line goes like this: John Alcorn (1610-1710) lived in Northern Ireland. Son was Robert Alcorn (1671-1768). Robert's son was James Alcorn (1728 - 1800) who married Isabella Drew. James's children are: Margaret (1752-1804) married ___ Goab, Robert, Samuel (died 1820), John, James, Nathaniel (1761-1842) married Elizabeth "Betty" McFarland, Jane married ___ Gilkie.
Nathaniel and Betty had children: William (b. 1786), Elizabeth (b. ~1787), Joseph (b. ~1789), Catherine (b. 1791, d. 1876) married John Downing, Samuel (b. 1793, d. 1827), Jane (b. 1796) married Newlands or Neelands, emigrated to America, Nathaniel (b. 1798. d. 1871), Martha (b. 1801) married Joseph Carson, Letitia (b. 1803) married (1) Thomas Barnwell, (2) Samuel Burns, Bernard (b.1806, d. 1857), Armer (b. 1809, d. 1888) married Mary Corrigan.
Armer and Mary Corrigan had Armer John Alcorn (b. 1842, d. 1931) who married Harriett Mason (b. 1852, d. 1917). Armer John and Harriett had: Ethel (1876-1953), Marie Claire (1889-1890), Armer McHarg Alcorn (1893-) who married Clarabelle Glover (1902-). Armer McHarg alcorn and Clarabelle had: Robert Glover (1925-) married Betty Rouillard, Armer John Alcorn (1927-1930), John Charles (1932-1934), Paul Armer (b. March 3, 1934-) married Beverly Swickard in Aug. 1959.
Armer John Alcorn (b. 1842, d. 1931) was a civil engineer in New York, South America, and Texas. He died in Hackensack, New Jersey. This information obtained from Robert Alcorn of Christchurch, New Zealand.
