Thank you so very much, Dewayne, for your prompt reply and the data. What I have is the 1880 Census that lists David and Jane; the children are all the same except they are 10 yrs older in the 1880 Census of Venango Co. Do you have the name of David's 2nd wife and any children they may have had? Also who were the parents of David Alcorn and his siblings? I do not think that Nancy Kerr born in PA on Oct 31, 1804, was a sister of this Jane Kerr because Nancy's father was Andrew Kerr, b. abt 1763, d. 1838 in Titusville, PA., and her mom was Nancy Mars, both born in (probably North) Ireland. However, Nancy Kerr did have a sister, Jane Kerr, b. 1800, died Oct 23, 1863 in Titusville. I think they all were buried in the Kerr Hill Cemetery. Oil Creek, Crawford, PA. Other siblings of Nancy Kerr's were Margaret. b. 1801; Mary Ann b. 1802; Samuel A. b. 1803, he married Susannah; William b. 1806; Sarah, b. 1808; Susan b. 1811; Andrew A. Kerr, b. Aug 1812.

We do not know who the parents of Immer Root were. They spell his first name different every time it is listed in the census. He was born in NY state and Nancy was his 2nd wife. We find him in the 1870 Census listed as Elmer? Root so evidently Nancy has passed away in the 1860's as his 3rd wife is Eliza J. His son, William (Franklin/Frank,)is listed as well as his youngest son, Andrew K. Root, with the correct ages. I have some of the spouses of Andrew Kerr's children if you need them. Your help is appreciated. Jane Root Alcorn's sister, Harriet Root, who married George W. Herring was my great grandmother. Venango Co, again.
