Hello, Doug. I was looking thru the Mercer Gen Forum and found your message to "Sug". I have a copy from the Record and Pension Office from Washington of Robert Alcorn, 1st lieutenant, Co. D, in the Iowa Inf. My husband's grandmother was Sarah Alcorn Mercer. Robert was her father. Does this help? Let me know ! Margaret
