I am researching Alcorns from County Donegal, Ireland. John Alcorn is supposed to come from Scotland and settled in County Donegal. Can anyone fill in where he might have come from in Scotland. Time period late 1600's to middle 1700's. He is my ggggg-grandfather. His son James was married to Esther Kennedy in Ireland. James sons Michael and John. James came over here on the Duncan of Whitehaven, year 1804. James second marriage was to Mary Mars and they moved to Indiana Co. PA James is my gggg-grandfather. James and Mary's son William my ggg-grandfather married Ruth Forrester. Does anyone have any more information on the Alcorn or Forrester Family Tree. Thanks
