Around the same time two different Alcorn families from Donegal arrived in Westmoreland Co., PA. Two brothers and sister Jane around 1798, and two brothers and uncle in 1804. This was John & Michael Alcorn and uncle James, from Glenveagh area in Donegal. Boarded ship "Duncan". Michael and Jane married. John later married Martha Richeson (also from Ireland). John's eldest son, George married Matilda Metz/Metts c. 1833, moved to Clarion Co in early 1840s and back to border of Armstrong & Westmoreland Co. George moved family to Grant Co., WI in mid 1850s. Both brothers are in the 1850 PA census.
