Herman Ott, 77, of Thomasville died Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Mobile Infirmary in Mobile. Funeral services were held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 15 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fred Wylie, Rev. Scott Myers and Rev. Nat Ballard officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville. Mr. Ott was a retired carpenter, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion Post #112 in Thomasville. He was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and one grandchild, Jeff Jenkins. Survivors include his wife, Rosie T. Ott of Thomasville; one son, Jackie (Lisa) Soper of Toxey; three daughters, June (James) Buchanan and Denise (Danny Griffin) Anderson, both of Toxey, and Cindy (Jerry) Ogle of Thomasville; four brothers, Sybil Ott of Mobile, J. W. (Jackie) Ott of Brent, Jr. (Marie) Ott and Vester (Betsy) Ott, both of Thomasville; one sister, Ruby (Malford) Horton of Mobile; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Jeremy Ogle, Johnathan Ogle, Brad Jenkins, Wes Soper, Adam Hurst and Chad Ott. Funeral arrangements were directed by O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville. |
