*AGAN in Vermont.

Bernard Hanley is buried near James and Margaret Kelly at St. Jeromeís Church Cemetery, East Dorset, Vt. The headstone says that Bernard was born Dec. 25, 1816 and died Sept. 27, 1891. With him is buried William Hanley who died Dec. 2, 1893, ae. 36 yrs. Nearby are two other graves of people that seem to be Bernardís sister and brother:

1) Sarah Hanley, wife of *Patrick Agan born in Roscommon Co. She died Mar. 13, 1891, ae. 72 yrs. He died May 24, 1895, ae. 90 yrs. With them is buried *William Agan who died Mar. 28 1885, ae. 31 yrs.;

2) William Hanley who died Oct. 9, 1893 ae. 76 yrs., his wife, Honora, who died Oct. 31, 1882, ae 37 yrs.(sic), and Sarah L. Hanley (Oct 19, 1852-May 16 1947). Next to Bernardís grave is the grave of Michael Cunningham (1833-1891) and his wife, Mary Mylott (1844-1926). The engraving says that he was born at Boyle, Co. Roscommon. A John Hanley, Sr. is buried at St. Jeromeís with his family, but the headstone gives no dates. It is in a location at the cemetery that seemingly sets it apart from the people mentioned above.

Orange Co. is not in the same section of the state as Dorset. I have not heard of any connection between these people and Orange Co., but it is certainly possible.
