Looking for muster rolls (on microfilm?) for enlisted personnel in the BERRY REGIMENT, Villemonte Company,
that arrived in Quebec: 1756-1757. My ancestor, JEAN ABRAHAM dit LANGEVIN was listed as a grenadier
in this regiment/company. He filed a "temoignage de liberte" on April 5, 1762 in Quebec, stating that he was
26 yrs old. He stayed in Quebec and married a widow in St-Vallier. Microfilms of the area in France he
supposedly came from do not list any variation of his surname. In the St-Vallier records he is listed as:
Lebron, Abran, Langevin, Langevin-Abran. His wife has other names as well. Looking for proof that he actually
came from France with the Berry Regiment.
