1- Sir Cuthbert Scofield b. Kent, England d.Rochdale, Lanc., England. He was Knighted for service in 1588, in the matter of the Armada. I do not know his parents only tht he was a younger son.

Richard and Daniel emigrated on the ship "Susan Ellen" in 1639, first to Ipswitch, Mass. and then to Stmford, Ct. in 1641.

I am decended from John and can give you the generations down from there but it is easier to do it on Email than in the Comment box. I also have the Blazon of the Coat of Arms and a picture of it that I can scan and send you. The Scofields moved to Pound Ridge, NY in 1745 and were the first settlers there. There are other quotes from letters. The information I have was gathered by Lillian McKlvey Write, reclassified by me in 1969. Let me know if you want more infvolved information.
