Maths Tanacharisson , and John Owens family line ??

I am still trying to trace the Indian ancestry in my Owens family line, as well as who my John Owens, born abt 1810 in S.C. was . I was recently sent information on this Owens family, that has decent from at least one Native tribe, and possibly two , including Cherokee.

I think that my ancestor John Owens, born in abt 1810,in S.C. , may be one of John
Owens III unnamed children ??

My Family has the legend that when my Great-GrandMother married her husband,
William Henry Harrison Owens, that she was dis-inherited by her family, du
to his Indian or 'dark' ancestry. His Father was Randolph Owens, born in
Alabama, in abt 1830. In census record his parents were said to be both born
in SC. We think his father was a John Owens, with his wife being a Sarah. I
one time saw a record that Randolph had registered as 1/16 Cherokee.

I am wondering if this father of Randolph,( possibly named John), may have
been one of the unknown children of John Owens III, born abt 1810 or so ??

The possible native ancestry could have accounted for the story
passed down in my family. I never met my Grandparents on my Mother`s side,
and so was not able to ask them questions about their ancestry.

thank you for any help, or ideas !

Glenn Hill
