Mahala Jane James Horton is my ggg grandmother.
She married Charles Horton of Perry County, Alabama
December 28, 1848. One of their sons, William Fos-
ter Horton, migrated to Texas. He is buried in the
Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Mills County, Texas.
Mahala Jane James was the daughter of Frederick
and Martha Hill James. Her brother was Alexander
James. The James, in part, moved to Bibb County,
Al. I think you and I may be related. What do you
think? I'm looking forward to checking out your
