Thomas,
My gg grandfather is Thomas Finn b. 1835 in Ireland. I was told his father's name was John. I don't have any "solid info" to back that up. Thomas came to the US in 1855. He had relatives that arrived before him. I am having a hard time trying to connect a few people that Thomas lived with before he settled in Minnesota. I am not sure if these are his brothers or maybe uncles.
William Finn arrived in the US abt. 1843 and was married to Elizabeth ?
William was searching for a cousin in NY with same name. (he put an ad in the paper stating William in NY would see this ad because he read the paper often)just a clue!!
Also in the 1860 cenus there is a woman name Johana Finn age 60.
James Finn arrived before 1851 -Ellen O'rouke is his wife. A son was born in NY in the late 1850's or early 1851. Others listed in 1857 census of MN are Julia
age 16, Patrick 12.
Some of the family stayed in NY. where ?
The Francis (Frank) name is common in my family as first or middle name.

You stated you had info on other family members. Does my of my family members appear on your list.
Thanks for your time!! : )
Linda
