Finn Family- England to Minnesota

I am looking for any info on the Finn Family.
I have info on some family members but can not seem to connect them together.
THOMAS FINN b.1835 in Ireland. In 1855 he left Ireland/England and headed for Minnesota. He married CATHERINE O'BRIEN in 1861 in St Paul, MN. Catherine was in PA before she came to MN sometime in 1859-1860.

Thomas Finn had family members that had already settled in MN before he arrived.

James Finn b. 1810 married Ellen O'Rourke b.1811 in Ireland.
Children:
James b 1851 New York
Mary b 1853 IL

These could be children of James and Ellen or they could be Thomas Finn's sibblings.

Julia Finn b.1841 Ireland
Michael Finn b.1843 Ireland
Patrick Finn b. 1848

William Finn abt 1820 Ireland settled in Reserve Township, Ramsey County Minnesota in 1840. Not sure where William fits in at all only that some family members appeared on 1860 cenus in Williams household and also the household of James and Ellen in Rice County.

I can not seem to find my way back to Ireland/England with this family.. still stuck in NY. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
