The Phoebe Carter age 90 on the Monroe Co. Census in 1850 is probably the mother of Lewis Carter who may be the brother of my Micajah Carter, b. abt 1794, m. Elizabeth Price 12 Dec 1814 in Green Co. but d. abt 1834 in Monroe Co.
Children: John P., Julia F. Lewis, Eliza W., Falatia, Elise P., Asbury and Chesley. My Micajah and possible brother Lewis may be sons of Caleb Carter or a Joseph Carter Jr. and the aforementioned Phebe Harmon Carter. Would love to know for sure. Have come upon a Micajah in your TN work? I have been through much in Green, Monroe, Blount, Roane and Carter Cos. and all I have are theories. Thanks.
