Neil -
Not same Solomon Baxley! The Solomon Janie and I refer to was much older [b 1797 in S.C. and d 1870 in Ala]. The Solomon we refer to had 3 sons that served in the 33rd Ala. [Cleburne's Div. Lowery's Brig., Adams Regiment], with one surviving - Barnibus Baxley.

I am interested in ANY and ALL Baxley's that served in the War Between the States. Would be glad to correspond on subject. Do you know where your Solomon Baxley was buried?

My records indicate the 10th SC was Hood's Corp, Hindman's Div., Maginault's Brigade, Pressley's Regt. Maginault's Brigade, especialy the 10th, broke the Federal Line and captured Degresse's Battery on July 22nd '64 in "The Battle of Atlanta". Do you know the day young Solomon died?
