I was in St. Vincent's orphanage in Drexel Hill, PA. It was run by the Daughters of Charity, St. Vincent de Paul and located at Garrett & Lansdowne Roads. Presently it is Prendergast High School. St. Vincent's on State Road is still there. I believe it is considered a "holding place" for little ones to be placed with families. The gentleman who is active in it (John) Tim Paul is profiled in the Catholic Standard & Times, this week-4/10/01. Maybe they could still help.
