We are proud to announce a NEW Cereghino website at called “The Cereghino Connection”. Many hours have been put into this project by Cereghino descendants and we hope you will participate and visit our site often.

The Cereghino surname comes from a mountain town in the Ligurian region of the province of Genova. Other related surnames such as Boitano and Cordano often intermarried with the Cereghino families.

We invite ALL surnames from Favale di Malvaro and the surrounding Favale area to participate in this website.

Please share this website with anyone you know that has ancestry from Favale, Genova, Italy. The more information we can share with each other, the more likely we are to find connections.

We have hired an Italian researcher that has had much success in the old parish records. Find out what he says about the Favale di Malvaro parish records at in the section “Ongoing Research”.

On the website you will find information about the upcoming book, “The Cereghino Family History Book” that will be available December 2004.

Does anyone have any connection to Brian Boitano, the ice skater? His ancestry also comes from Favale di Malvaro, Genova, Italy. We would love to have his family check out our website.

We have recently sent a mailing to 41 Cereghino families living in South America. We are happy that we have already received 2 replies by email. If you know that you are related to any Cereghino families in South America, please let us know by contacting the website administrator.

We hope you will visit our website and PARTICIPATE.
