Barb,

Social Security Death Index (SSDI) has him as Stanislaw Cieslak 15 Apr 1922 - Jul 1981
Card Issued: Michigan
Last Benefit: Hamtramck, Wayne County, Michigan
Last Residence: Not Specified

"Not Specified" could mean several things.
1. Living with a relative
2. Died in a nursing home
3. Died in a hospital
4. Died while traveling or visiting
and many more reasons.

Since you have no mention of him having surviving family, I would suggest you find a way to get his obit so as to see where he was buried. I can save you time and tell you from my own experience that the local newpaper employees will not search and do not have time for genealogy searches such as this.
With the possibilty of enlistment in WWII, I have already checked National Cemeteries for you and he was NOT listed. I have also checked cemetery websites for Wayne county and cannot find him listed.

Starting to sound like I am not giving you the "instant answer" you are wishing for, but to help ease your mind and tell you that you have not hit a brick wall. The obit info will give you what you need.

Regards,
Sue
P.S. Be sure to use Stanislaw (not Stanley)
