Greetings everyone. I am Albion's Historian, Albion Michigan (Calhoun County). Our Riverside Cemetery dates back to 1837, the year Michigan became a state. It is a state historic site. There are over 20,000 burials here. I have a copy of the cemetery records through 1991 and can quickly look up names. If your ancestor lived in the Albion, Michigan area, feel free to contact me. albionfp@hotmail.com We also have an Albion internet site with over 200 of my weekly historical articles about Albion History on it. On the home page type in a "search" name to see if I've written about your ancestor. The address is: www.albionmich.com Feel free to leave a message on the "guestbook" too. Look through our Albion site and I hope you find something you are looking for. I also give an annual guided tour of Riverside Cemetery in October each year, focusing on about 30 selected interments. This past October 14 we featured "The German Hill Tour of Riverside Cemetery," and had a crowd of over 75 persons attend. Tour program booklets from this and past years are still available, and are filled with biographies and interesting information about selected interments. Best wishes to everyone, Frank.
