NJ moving cemetery bodies
Daily Record Newspaper article 8/31/01 - TRENTON [NJ] (AP)- NJ Turnpike officials expect to spend about $1 million to relocate hundred of bodies from a five-acre grave site in Hudson County.
About 600-900 corpses will likely be moved sometime during the spring to make way for a new interchange. They plan to use radar to pinpoint the location of skeletons of hundreds of paupers and mental patients who were buried at the county-owned site.
Officials have said the discovery of the grave site should not delay construction of the $225 million interchange between Exits 15E & 16E on the turnpike's eastern spur in Secaucus.
