Your comments about using no wire brushes - styrofoam instead.
Absolutely NO scrapers.
No shaving cream - chemicals may be harmful.
Tracing said not advisable - stones are not indestructable, some very soft.
Use of flour, economical and harmless.
MY QUESTION....could you take along (in your
'cemetery box' kept in auto) a little box from grocery story that has the 4-5 food colors? and with your plastic jug of water makeup a little flour paste with whatever color you might need????
Many counties are collecting photographs of stones (esp. those in dangerof 'disappearing'.
We try and take an overall photo of the cemetery, if it is too large step back and do an area photo, make careful locations.
