Ceja Family of Michoacan, Mexico
Hi, I'm one of the decendants of the Ceja family from Baja California Norte. My Father was Guillermo Ceja Manriquez, born in Los Angeles around the mid 1920's. I never knew my grandfather but I believe his name was Guillermo. He was from Michoacan, Mexico, and then later in life moved to Hermosillo, Sonora, where along with several children, he managed a farm on the coast. He married Angela Manriquez Coronado, also from Baja California. He died in Hermosillo around the mid 1960's. My father had several brothers and sisters, including Jesus, Manuel, Francisco, and two sisters whom I don't recall. Most of these decendants remain in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. Francisco Ceja may still be alive in either Modesto or Salida California. He has two children, Deanna and Miguel. I was born in Madera, California in 1952 but I grew up in Modesto, California, went to Stanislaus Elementary School, Grace M. Davis High School, College in Hermosillo, Sonora and Medical School in Guadalajara, Mexico. I now live in New York City and have a private practice in Howard Beach, Queens. For some time now I've been thinking of doing a geneology search on my surname. I hope this information is helpful and maybe anyone who reads this can e-mail me back with further information on their family.
