I have read some on DNA research, but I haven't done any of it myself yet. I think the problem is that different labs don't compare results with each other, so you will only find out about a match if another person with a matching y-chromosome used the same lab. A match would be especially helpful to someone who either wasn't sure or needed to prove how they fit into the CARLOCK/CEARLOCK family tree. Since you already know how your husband and children fit into the family tree, a match would probably be more helpful to the other person than it would be to you.
