We are still trying to prove the ancestry of George W. CARLOCK/CEARLOCK, b. ca. 1779, NC, who m. Rachel LANDERS. I strongly believe that George is descended from the family of David GERLACH/CARLOCK who appears on page 436 of the book "History of the Carlock Family", by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929, but I have not yet found the exact connection.
