Kay,

This is my family and I am trying to find out if possibly they tie into your family.

James Sain was born April 22, 1822 according to the bible that Mary Katie Richardson Turner had at one time possessed. James Sain married Nancy Daniel Henson in 1869. Nancy had twins October 17, 1870 H. Thomas and Hester. Nancy died during childbirth and their son H.Thomas Sain also died.

James died January 22, 1897 in Bonham, Fanning Co, TX.

Hester Sain married Albert John Turner, son of George Turner and Martha Elizabeth (unknown last name). They married in the Grayson, TX Court house in the mayors office 24 Aug 1900.

They had 3 sons. George Washington born May 6, 1901 in Bells or Waco TX, Josie born June 20, 1904 and died in 1908, Jefferson born February 9, 1907 and died May 30, 1967.

Notes for Nancy Sain:

Nancy is buried in the Cearley Cemetery in McNairy Co, TN. Her Tombstone says Nancy Daniel wife of James Sain d. 17 Oct. 1870 aged 37 years ??? (This means she was born about 1833).

From the Bolivar bulletin, 1896-7 Feb - Died James Sain in Fannin Co., Texas, 23 Jan 1896, born in Rowan Co., NC 29 april 1822. Moved to Gibson Co., Tenn with parents in 1835 remaining there 2 years. They removed to Hardeman Co., and settled near Middleton. Married three times. 1st to Miss Macon, sister of Whit Macon, by whom he had 6 or 7 children, 4 still living, William Sain, Calvin Sain, Enoch Sain, and a daughter Mrs. Elkins, now living in Ark. Married 2nd Mrs. Henson formerly Miss Cearley, by whom he had 2 children, 1 of whom survives…………

This is all I could find out about Nancy. I see that in the same cemetery is Co. P. D. Cearley. Under Luke Cearley I see that he had a daughter named Nancy b. 1838. Is it possible that this is incorrect? I have not been able to connect this Nancy to any families.

Thank you
Vickie Clarke
