Your John W. was the brother of my 3rd great grandfather Philip Denton Cearley. I found a copy of their father Luke's will in the library. Luke had resettled in Dyer County. He left everything to the children of his second marriage saying that his older children had their share. He either felt this to be true or he was not in a good mood.
