William Cearley, 1700's, Virginia

I have just become interesting in finding my Cearley ancestry. I have information from family that indicates my ancestors came to Jamestown, Va. prior to 1704 from Dorset, England. A Willam Cearley was later a soldier in the American Revolution. The information I have it helpful. But, there are no court records, just notes from a cousin who apparently traced our lineage that far. I would appreciate hearing from "distant relatives" who may know more.
