Thank you very much for responding. I appreciate it.

The only additional information that I have beyond what you posted for the family of George W. and Hilah Brown Cearley is for these marriages for their children:

Mary L. to William A. Brown, Arthur to Daisy Byers, Martha to Thomas J. Brown, John W. to 1. Carra Unknown 2. Mary Christen Hollingshead and the following on William H. Cearley:

Married 1st Lenora Byers January 18, 1891 and had one son, James H. Cearley who died 1917.

Married 2nd Maude Thacker (d/o Robert). I have their children as Lillian b. 1908, Dorthy b. 1913 and Tom W. b. 1914.

I forgot to write down my source on that but I expect that it was Elizabeth Cearley Moore -- I'll give her credit anyway.

About Larkin Cearley and Altha Bolin Brown. (A note, Bolin is common in the Cearley family info but all data, aside from the marriage record, entry supports the middle initial P. I think her middle name was actually probably Pauline or Pearline.)

I had not seen information about Larkin's second wife before. That's very interesting. This is what I've put together on Larkin's family after his marriage to Altha Bolin Brown with notes on Altha's sister Elizabeth as well

In 1860 I found Larkin and Altha (shown as Altha P.) in Union County with one infant son, Julius.

Elizabeth Brown, Altha's sister was still living with her parents in Fannin County in 1860.

I couldn't find Larkin with either wife in 1870 but I have access to very few 1870 census records. In 1870, Elizabeth Brown (Altha's sister) is gone from her parents' home in Fannin Co. and I have no other record for her.

Using the spelling variation Ceorley, I found Larkin Cearley with wife Elizabeth (Brown?) Cearley in Richland, Douglas Co., Missouri in the 1880 Census. They're shown with six children:

John W. 11 (a. 1869) born TN
Texas 9 born (dau) (a. 1871) born GA
Louisa 8 born (a. 1872) born Cherokee Nation
Tennessee (dau) 6 (a. 1874) born Cherokee Nation
Ella 5 (a. 1875) born Cherokee Nation
Joessa 2 (a. 1878) born Cherokee Nation

It looks to me like all these children definitely belong to Elizabeth even though I think I've seen John W. assigned to Altha elsewhere. There is no sign here or anywhere else I can find of the son of Larkin & Altha, Julius M. b. 1859.

All of the information provided in the 1880 census for his wife Elizabeth; date of birth, place of birth and parents' place of birth exactly matches Elizabeth Brown d/o John Wesley Brown who was Altha Bolin Brown's sister. btw - It is definitely NOT Altha with just a variant given name.

Coincidentally (or not), another d/o John Wesley Brown (Martha E. Brown Arp) is living about 20 miles away at this same time in Ozark Co., MO. Martha E. & Rufus Arp were also in the Indian Territory from about 1874 to 1878.

Generally, the family of John Wesley Brown had ties with the Cearleys that always seemed to extend beyond the marriage of Hilah Hulda Brown and George W. Cearley. It would not surprise me at all that 3 daughters married into the Cearley family.

Based on all of that, I'd say it's very possible - probable - that Altha passed away sometime after 1860 (after a 2nd child?) and that Larkin Cearley then married her older sister, Elizabeth, by 1869. That definitely would help me out because I've about exhausted other leads on what happened to Elizabeth. I'm hedging though. I'd like to know where Larkin was in 1870 and where and when he and his second wife Elizabeth were married. And what evidence exists that Larkin's wife Elizabeth's maiden name was Brown?

Does anyone have any information on the parents of Elizabeth Young that married Rufus Cearley?

I think that she is probably the daughter of David and Rachel Young, Union Co. but I need additional confirmation on that. I believe David Young is probably JW Brown's nephew which would make Elizabeth Young 2nd cousin to the 2 or 3 Brown-Cearley brides.
