Hi Cuz,
Have not emailed you in awhile, hope all is well.

I have been puzzelled about the Cherokee connection, too. I do know that there are a couple of Cearley cousins on the Dawes Cherokee role...

Charles Starr Cearley is Cherokee roll #16393.

His line is...
Larkin>Charles>Edmond Jeptha Cearley>Charles Starr Cearley. He gets the Cherokee connection from his mother, Sarah Leticia Thompson.

Other Cearley's that are in the Dawes Cherokee roll, taken about 1901/2......

Sarah L Thompson Cearley - age 43 (mother)
Charles Starr Cearley. age 4
John Gordon Cearley. age 22
Sion Alvin Cearley. age 23
Opal Modelle age 1

So far as I know, Charles is the only one who settled in Oklahoma, hence the connection to the Bristow/Tulsa clan.

Hope you and yours are well. My new email is scott@gabrielson.us

Scott
