Annice,
I'm trying to research a George Lymon Carley Sr., but have little to go on except that the family is in the same area of MS as your Elisha & Elijah Cearley, which I suspect may be the same family.
George Sr. son, George Jr. (1908-1986) m. Sarah Holmes.
I have little to go on but family legend which states that George Sr. father and grandfather were also Georges (I'm not so sure).
I'm hoping to spend some quality time with the census<g> tomorrow at the library, so maybe I'll have more info soon.
I also may be able to help you if this is the same Cearley family that comes from NC>Union Co GA, since I live in Atlanta and spend a good bit of time at the Georgia Archives.
