Peter,
I just want to help you avoid a real problem in your search. My mom did a Caylor genealogy some years ago and had the same question. She visited the Caylors of Merrill, WI, and in spite of the amazing coincidence of finding that George W. Caylor was the name of my grandfather also, there was no close relationship. So, in your search, if you find information about George W. Caylor, son of Abraham Caylor from Hamilton County, Ind., you're on the wrong track. You are right, however, in your information that there are many Caylors in Indiana. The patriarch of the family in America, Johannes Caylor, had seventeen children in Virginia, Ohio and Indiana, so it's possible (probable} that we have common ancesters. If I can be any more help, feel free to e-mail me.
