Sometime between 1968 and 1970, I received a printout on this family and a questionaire to answer. It is not my family, nor is there much chance of a link to my family --But, if you want to email me your address, I would be happy to send you a photocopy of the four page document entitled "Caylor Genealogy." It starts out
______ Kaylor German. Fled German conscription to U.S. Changed name from Koehler to Kaylor.
married _____ Frenchwoman.
1. Thomas D. Caylor. Born Feb 26, 1821 in Coffee County (then part of Dale County), Ala. Changed name from Kaylor to Caylor because (according to his granddaughter, Pearl Clyde Caylor) he could not write "K" capital or small.......
