I'm looking for information on the ancestors of William Christopher Cawthon, b. 1795, Hanover co., VA, d. 25 Apr 1854, Jefferson co., Ohio, m. Elizabeth Collins, 1819, Marion co., VA. He served in the War of 1812, and receivied a pension, the records of which I havn't seen.

Their children were 3 males, b. between 1820-1830, apparently died young. Also Sarah Elizabeth, (male) b. after 1840, Mary, Thomas, James Lewis, Joseph Dilward, Evaline, Ann, and Benjamin F(rancis?).

In Hanover co., VA, William Sr. and William, Jr., also appeared in the 1787 tax list .
