Hi Roy,
It looks like our families are connected also. Ted Wright posted a reply recently to my posting and he told me to contact you. I think he might be on to something. I'm descended from Charles Mount Cawthon's sister Frances (Fanny) Cawthon who married John Camp in Franklin Co. Ga. Charles and John are recorded on the same page on the 1850 census in Jackson Co. La. Do you have any info on Fanny and John? I'm trying to figure out where they went after 1850, but I can't find any other records on them. They were both only in their 40's, so I don't believe they would have died that young. I just can't find them after 1850, so I don't know where or when they died. They are my great, great granparents. Their oldest son Jonathan James Camp is my great grandfather. He was born in 1833 in Ms. I think Madison Co. because other family members, including Charles Mount lived there too, in 1830, so I figured that might be where John and Fanny lived. I haven't been able to confirm the county Jonathan was born in just that it was in Ms. If you have any other info on them, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks Cuz! Linda Camp Peckenham
