Thank you Richard for tell the truth. I have done alot of research on the name Cavaness and i have found it different on the same marriage lic. That's because the clerk writes it like she hear's it and the people sign it the way it is. So you get caviness on front and cavaness on the back when they sign it. I still have found know proff of who Thomas H. Cavaness parents was. I have paper from NC that have alot of names but none that say who who. The court house in Jonesboro Illinois has alot of information on the Cavaness family who arrived there in 1862 ,that the first time i have them at a land sale. Iam willing to work with any one to try and straighen this out.
