It appears that Jesse and Nancy married in Alabama. Per Bible records, I have her father as a Robert Cavin born about 1816 and mother as Nancy Adcock. Jesse Owens appears to be born about 1839. My g-grandfather John W. Owens was born about 1872 in Huntsville, AL. And I understand that the Cavin, Owens and Matthews families all resided in Indian Territory on the 1900 census. John W. Owens married Sallie Jane Eastham (from Pulaksi County, KY), they had 6 children. One of which was my grandfather Edgar Walter Owens. John Wylie Owens remarried a lady by the name of Eva and resided in Little River County, Arkansas. I was thinking without looking on paperwork that either Nancy Cavin or Nancy Adcock was from Georgia. Too much info?
