Rev. Samuel Cavin's Descendents
Posted by: Charles Cavin (ID *****0026) Date: March 13, 2009 at 10:02:13

Hello all:

I've made some real progress determining my ancestry back to Thomas Cavin b.1785 in SC.

Me - Charles Edwin Cavin (F), William Claude (GF), Van Percy (gGF), William Thomas Jr. (ggGF), William Thomas (gggGF), Thomas Cavin (ggggGF).

I have read speculation regarding Thomas Cavin's roots back to Rev. Samuel Cavin (I've seen it spelled Caven as well in presbyterian histories) who came to the colonies sometime during 1737 or before.

Has anyone found a chain of Samuel's descendents? Know what ship he was on from Ireland?

Any clues or thoughts would be appreciated.

Charles
