Hello Robbin!
Just thought that I'd check in with you to see if you have been able to gather any more information about your ROBERT CAVIN. Ya know, the dates that you give for him are so close to what I "guesstimate" for my ROBERT CAVIN. If he was 80 yrs. old in 1870, that would make his dob around 1790. My ROBERT CAVIN's first child, ROBERT WINSTON CAVIN, was born 12/14/1811. This works...it would make your or our ROBERT CAVIN 21 yrs. old at the time of his first child's birth.
The biggest stumbling block I'm having in trying to connect your ROBERT CAVIN with mine is his daughter's name. My ROBERT CAVIN had only one daughter. She was named SALLIE CAVIN and married JOHN TUCKER. Unfortunately, that's all I know about her. She could have been named "SALLIE JANE CAVIN", but then the spouses don't match.
Let me know your thoughts about this sometime. There has to be some sort of a connection.
